At most times, when it comes to making financial decisions, women just don’t make the cut. Maybe it’s the thought of all those numbers, or the sound of humdrum words like ‘equity’ and ‘assets’ that creates this classic fish-out-of-water scenario. But most financial jargon isn’t nearly as scary as it sounds.

Thanks for sharing. You are such an eloquent writer / public speaker and this article gives a lot of very relevant advice to women, so many simple but important things we rarely think of. I wish I had met you when I was 20, maybe I would not have been in the mess I am in now!!

ReplyDeleteMy first pay was Rs 10 (or maybe Rs 200) when i taught at Sophia College when the History professor was away on lleave. My fatherr banked my earnings and when i went abrooad the next year he used those savings to put me on the ship I took to Italy! Quite splendid I thought.
Your sugestion to do the simple diivision of 72 by the rate of interest is intriguing...
